Coffee cup and book on the table in the morning

You are the author of your own life story.

Your current beliefs, “stories”, thoughts, words, decisions, feelings, and actions (or inaction) have contributed to what you are experiencing right now in your life or in your business.

At any moment, you can create a new story and live your vision. Here’s what I mean.

TRUE STORY

Some time ago, I noticed that another year had passed by and I had barely made any progress with reaching my goals (my income, my weight, & my relationship goals). I felt sorta stuck.

Have you ever felt that way before?

So I bought a course for how to overcome self sabotage.

One of the lessons in the course was an exercise to help “uncover
your unmet needs”. Apparently, as human beings, getting our core needs met are critical for progress and momentum.

The problem is most people spend their life searching for other people to fulfill those needs.

My unmet needs where “security” (specifically, financial security) and feeling “good enough”. (Your core needs may be different than mine.)

My breakthrough arrived when the course then asked me to look through the lens of responsibility.

“I am 100% responsible for fulfilling those needs in my life. Not God. Not my spouse. Not my kids. Not anyone.”
The truth will set you FREE my friend. It set me free!

Yes, we can ask God for help. But ultimately it is our responsible take the actions required to fulfill our own needs, reach our goals and enjoy life!

Rewrite your story exercise
—————————————————–

Rewriting your story helps you have a clear vision for what
you want your life/business to look like.

Take out two pieces of paper or type in a word document.

At the top of one page write “My Old Story”
Then write the old story you used to tell yourself for why you can’t
create what you want. (a paragraph).

At the top of the other paper write “My New Story”.
Write your new story from a place of responsibility and personal power.
Read it daily. Then, burn or tear up and throw away the OLD story.

New story example:

“As of today, Sept. 1, 2016, I am rewriting my story. I am a powerful creator and I choose to create these 3 breakthroughs in my life by Dec. 1, 2016, which are:
1.
2.
3.
I am responsible for meeting my core needs, for reaching my goals and creating a life and business that I enjoy. Fear, blame and excuses are no longer hindering me from living my best life. I am taking consistent action daily and I am seeing real progress. I feel happy and grateful now that I am fulfilling my destiny. Thank you. And so it is.”

Take your power back!

What will your story be six months from now? The same old stuff
or a breakthrough?

Much love,
April
